I would like to express my gratitude for your loyal patronage. Since our establishment in 1937, we have been given the opportunities to contribute to the development of our society in designing, manufacturing, construction and maintenance of road traffic control systems, railway signal systems and consumer equipment.

I sincerely appreciate your warm understanding and support in every step of our path. It is said that we will see even further advancement in electronic technology in the 21st century.

We will continue to strive to meet the new demands of the age by developing, designing, manufacturing, and constructing the advanced technology. It is our company policy to contribute to the development and prosperity of the society with the minds of teamwork, spontaneous and responsible work.

  • Jun. 1937Founded in Higashishinagawa, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.
    Nov. 1964Changed company name to Rikuun Electric Co., Ltd. and relocated its headquarters to Kashiwagi, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.
    Apr. 1967Started to supply traffic signal systems to the Metropolitan Police Department.
    Oct. 1973Started to supply parking meters to the Metropolitan Police Department.
    Jun. 1987Started to supply railway signal systems to East Japan Railway Company and Central Japan Railway Company.
    Feb. 1990Built a factory and relocated its headquarters to Saiwai-cho, Tachikawa-shi, Tokyo.
    Apr. 1996Increased its capital to 75.5 million yen.
    Developed Pay & Display ticket and started to supply it to the Metropolitan Police Department.
    Started to supply railway signal systems to Tokyu Corporation.
    Apr. 1998Relocated its headquarters to Takadanobaba, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.
    Started contracted business to maintain Japan Radio Co., Ltd.’s cellphone base stations.

    Feb. 2001Established Dalian Guangzhong Consultants Co., Ltd. (Software company) in Dalian City, China.
    Jun. 2002Installed traffic signal systems in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
    Jun. 2002Installed traffic signal systems at 10 intersections and 480 traffic street lights in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia as ODA.
    Jun. 2004Merged with Kohshin Electric Co., Ltd.
    Increased its capital to 90 million yen.
    Apr. 2009Developed new model Pay & Display ticket and Emergency train stop button.
    Apr. 2014Established Technology Center in Kokubunji-shi, Tokyo.
    Jan. 2017Developed new model parking meter and supplied it to the Metropolitan Police Department.

    In recent years, our overseas operations have been expanding.


    Apr. 1996Established a branch in Dalian City, China.
    Apr. 1999Installed 47 priority signal systems for tram in Dalian City, China.
    Apr. 2000Started the joint search and development of ITS with Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency, Busan Metropolitan Police Agency and Kyonggi University in Korea.
    Feb. 2001Established Dalian Guangzhong Consultants Co., Ltd. (Software company) in Dalian City, China.
    Apr. 2002Started the joint search and development of IT&T with Budapest University of Technology and Economics in Hungary.
    Jun. 2002Installed traffic signal systems in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
    Feb. 2004Installed traffic signal systems in Kampala, Uganda.
    Feb. 2005Two Uganda government technical officers visited Japan to learn about traffic signal systems at our company.

    Apr. 2007Designed traffic signal systems in Blantyre, Malawi.
    Apr. 2010Conducted training of the second road traffic signal systems in Kampala, Uganda.
    Apr. 2012Conducted training and maintenance of traffic signal systems in Kampala, Uganda.
    Jun. 2013Received a letter of appreciation from Thailand’s Ministry of Labor for accepting its trainees for many years.
    Oct. 2013Installed traffic signal systems in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
    Feb. 2014Installed traffic signal systems in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
    Mar. 2015Participated in the Project for Capacity Enhancement Management of Traffic Flow in Kampala, Uganda.
    Jan. 2016Participated in the Project on Improvement of Traffic Management Capacity in Central district, Lahore, Pakistan.
    Aug. 2017Director of Chumphon Provincial Employment Office, Ministry of Labor, Thailand visited our company to inspect the situation of intern trainees.
