Chairman

I would like to express my gratitude for your loyal patronage. Since our establishment in 1937, we have been given the opportunities to contribute to the development of our society in designing, manufacturing, construction and maintenance of road traffic control systems, railway signal systems and consumer equipment.

I sincerely appreciate your warm understanding and support in every step of our path. It is said that we will see even further advancement in electronic technology in the 21st century.

We will continue to strive to meet the new demands of the age by developing, designing, manufacturing, and constructing the advanced technology. It is our company policy to contribute to the development and prosperity of the society with the minds of teamwork, spontaneous and responsible work.

Ever since our establishment, we have been able to contribute to the society mainly by transportation infrastructure related business such as traffic signal systems, railway signal systems and parking systems. I sincerely appreciate your guidance and support.

In addition to continuous contribution to the society, I believe that “sustaining the global environment” is our responsibility as well. We are currently making special efforts to saving energy and resources.

History

Jun. 1937 Founded in Higashi-Shinagawa, Shinagawa-Ku, Tokyo.
Nov. 1964 Changed company name to Rikuun Electric Co., Ltd. and relocated its headquarters to Kashiwagi, Shinjuku-Ku, Tokyo.
Apr. 1967 Started to supply traffic signal systems to Metropolitan Police Department.
Oct. 1973 Started to supply parking meter to Metropolitan Police Department.
Jun. 1987 Started to supply railway signal systems to East Japan Railway Company and Central Japan Railway Company.
Feb. 1990 Made a factory and relocated its headquarters to Saiwai-Cho, Tachikawa-Shi, Tokyo.
Apr. 1996 Increased its capital to 75.5 million yen.
Developed pay & display ticket and started to supply it to Metropolitan Police Department.
Started to supply railway signal systems to Tokyu Corporation.
Apr. 1998 Relocated its headquarters to Takadanobaba, Shinjuku-Ku, Tokyo.
Started contracted business of maintenance of cellphone base station from Japan Radio Co., Ltd.
Apr. 1999 Changed company name to Transportation Systems & Electric Co., Ltd.
Feb. 2001 Established Dalian Guangzhong Consultants Co., Ltd. (Software company) at Dalian City, China.
Jun. 2002 Installed traffic signal systems to Ulaanbaatar in Mongol.
Jun. 2002 Offered 10 intersections of traffic signal systems and 480 of traffic street lights to Ulaanbaatar in Mongol as ODA.
Jun. 2004 Merged with Kohshin Electric Co., Ltd.
Increased its capital to 90 million yen.
Apr. 2009 Developed new model Pay & display ticket and Emergency train stop bottom.
Apr. 2014 Established Technology center in Kokubunzi-shi, Tokyo.

【Overseas Operation】
TSEC is actively engaged in overseas operation.
In recent years especially, our overseas operation is expanding.

Apr. 1996 Established a branch in Dalian City, China.
Apr. 1999 Installed 47 of priority signal systems for tram in Dalian City, China.
Apr. 2000 Started the joint search and development of ITS with Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency, Busan Metropolitan Police Agency and Kyonggi University in Korea.
Feb. 2001 Established Dalian Guangzhong Consultants Co., Ltd. (Software company) in Dalian City, China.
Apr. 2002 Started the joint search and development of IT&T with Budapest University of Technology and Economics in Hungary.
Jun. 2002 Installed traffic signal systems to Ulaanbaatar in Mongol.
Feb. 2004 Installed traffic signal systems to Kampala in Uganda.
Feb. 2005 Two technical officers of governments of Uganda visited Japan to train traffic signal systems at our company.
Nov. 2005 Installed traffic signal systems to Phnom Penh in Cambodia.
Feb. 2006 Installed 150 of parking systems to Jeju City, Seoul and Ansan City in Korea.
Apr. 2007 Designed traffic signal systems in Blantyre, Malawi.
Apr. 2010 Conducted training of the second road traffic signal systems in Kampala, Uganda.
Apr. 2012 Conducted training and maintenance of traffic signal systems in Kampala, Uganda.
Oct. 2013 Installed traffic signal systems in Bishkek, Kyrgyz.
Jun. 2013 Received a letter of application from Ministry of Labor of Thailand for accepting trainees for many years.
Feb. 2014 Installed traffic signal systems in Phnom Penh in Cambodia.
